28 neutral eyeshadow palette

When I first got this, I wanted to despise it. I bought it from Crown Brush, and I had horrible customer service. Their products may be nice, but I can buy them from many many other stores and have an easier time. Their servers were down and didn't properly allow my order to go through. So after ten calls I canceled that order and tried it the next day. Shortly after that it was shipped, yet for some reason the calls didn't end. I got one call saying that my credit card didn't go through, which didn't make sense because it was already shipped. After explaining this and saying that my records show the money was taken out she said, "oh, that seems impossible." Turns out she had a previous file from when I canceled. Then I get another call a day later saying that I have ten orders of the same thing, do I want them all? This was something I had discussed with them when the servers went down and I CANCELED the order. Enough about me ranting.
The eye shadows are actually very nice. They're soft, some of them are a little chalky, but all in all with the proper application they go on wonderfully. (Although a couple of shades have some fallout, it's minimal.) I've been using nothing but this palette for my eyeshadow for the past week to try it out, and I've even used it on my mom. I can honestly say that this is worth buying. The price is amazing, the quality is great, it would be awesome for travel (so long as you use something like paper towels over them to help insure the eye shadows not breaking or getting powder everywhere.) So if you only wear neutrals, need more neutrals, travel a lot, or are just starting in makeup, I highly recommend this product....just not from crown brush.
So here are swatches:

I know that with some of these colors it's hard to see, but that's not because it's not because of bad pigmentation it's because they're lighter and as you can tell, I'm very pale so they just end of looking almost like my skin, almost.

Who is Bettie Holiday?

In all reality, Bettie Holiday is a figment of my imagination. It's just two names in one. Bettie Page and Billie Holiday. However I am Danielle. I have an obsession with makeup and fashion, and also learning about history and reading. This blog will showcase my own opinions on fashion, and makeup reviews and tutorials. I'm sure I'll also have posts on healthy eating as I am a health freak. Also I color my hair often. I'm really liking lilac, but I really like my super dark blue that I'm currently sporting. At any rate, I think this is enough about me. I'll check in next time with a review on the 28 neutral eyeshadow palette.
